Get Rid of Self-Pity and Take a Fresh Start

Self-Pity Stops Human Growth

First, we need to understand what self-pity is.

Self-pity is feeling sorry for yourself, thinking you are not worth it. Assuming you are disabled and can never make a difference. Failing one time in life makes you stuck, and you keep it fixed in your brain. You think you are a complete loser.

You believe you will never be able to succeed in life and keep regretting and confessing all the time that you are a failure. Your mind becomes full of negative thoughts that remind you that achieving even a tiny target is impossible.

Why Self-Pity Keeps You Stuck

When you think about this all the time, how can you take a stand, stop feeling like this, take a fresh start, and come out of that barrier of self-pity?

It needs your time for yourself.

This is possible, and the following are some ways to get rid of self-pity.

Ask Yourself the Right Questions

You need to sit on a sofa and keep asking yourself questions, and you have to answer them honestly.

Question #1: Is Everyone in This World Born a Failure?

The first answer that comes to mind is no.

No one is born a failure. Success and failure depend on how hard-working a person is and whether that person is putting their strength in the right direction.

Question #2: Have You Ever Met a Person Who Never Failed in Life?

Again, the answer is no.

We meet people daily who fail in one field but succeed in another. Sometimes people fall during the initial stages. They learn from their failures, and those failures eventually turn into success.

Question #3: Have You Never Seen People Struggling?

The answer is all around us.

We meet people every day who are struggling.

Learn from Those Who Never Gave Up

Thomas Edison set the example of not giving up, working hard, and continuing to struggle until you either succeed or learn from your failure.

You Are No Different from Others

So get rid of self-pity because you are also a human being, just like others.

You are not born with superpowers.

If you fail, try again next time. Change your field if needed and struggle to learn from your failure. One day, you will understand the life cycle. You will stop complaining and understand the theory of success and failure and the role you can play in achieving success.

The Story of Meghan

Here, I mention the story of a girl named Meghan.

Meghan was a healthy, successful, and very hard-working girl. But a twist came into her story. She went through some health issues that made her completely disabled.

Deep inside, she firmly believed she could still succeed, but the long tenure of pain and poor health made her lose faith. She started complaining all the time and became trapped in self-pity.

One day, she came across old memories and realized who she once was.

She kept asking herself questions until she understood why she could not get rid of those negative thoughts.

Slowly, she rejected negative thinking. By taking a few initiatives, she searched for a path that could now lead her toward success.

She forgot that she was disabled because she could finally see a new direction.

She got rid of self-pity and started appreciating herself.

Every time she appreciated herself, life surprised her with more success.

Final Thoughts

Self-pity is never going to help anyone.

Struggle if you are going through dark days. Sunlight will come and make your day bright again. You will once again feel the fresh air, hear the chirping birds, and watch the rays of sunlight light up your life.
